Berry Hill Farms is located near Lebanon Missouri, in the gently rolling Ozark hills. On our farm, my wife, Beverly and I strive to raise the best Limousin cattle possible. We purchased our first Limousin bull in 1990 and was smitten with the muscle that these bulls put in our crossbred herd. In 1993 we decided to buy some limi heifers and see what we could do in the seed stock business. After a course in artificial insemination we were improving, but not at a rate to satisfy us. It was at that time we decided to go into flushing, to improve the genetics. Having bought the equipment, we were lucky enough to get Jack D. Glendenning, also from Lebanon, to become our embryologist and partner in Lim/bryo. Jack serves as the current President of the Heart of Missouri Limousin Breeders Association and Jack was recently elected to the NALF Board of Directors in 2007 for a three year term..
One of our most cherished accomplishments has been the creation of the C.O.D.Y. program at the HMLBA. This is a program to get the youth involved with showing limousin heifers who have not had the opportunity to do so in the past. Maybe you have read the recent articles that Limousin World wrote concerning this program and the wonderful opportunities it holds for the future limousin farmers. Check out the C.O.D.Y. link to learn more about this program.
If we can help you in your quest of the limousin breed we would be glad to lend our assistance to you. Feel free to contact us.
