C.O.D.Y.
Creating Opportunity for the Development of Youth
Heart of Missouri Limousin Breeders Association is proud to continue the C.O.D.Y. program this year. Any HMBLA member may donate a heifer to an area youth, ages 8 to a senior in high school of their locale. The youth becomes responsible for feeding, halter breaking and caring for the heifer. Youth will be required to show the animal a minimum of two local level youth shows, and then will be entered into the final show which will be at the annual HMLBA production sale.

This is in no way, is meant to conflict with the Missouri futurity show, or interfere with the Junior Limousin members in any manner. However any junior member is eligible to participate.
The C.O.D.Y. Program is a tool to help area youth who do not have the opportunity to develop skills on their own and for breeders to showcase their livestock in their community.
The C.O.D.Y. Program has been focused in the Limousin World Magazine, and is proved to be an educational and self-confidence booster for all youth involved.
